Sony would have called it the tuner. But if you just buy a couple of computer speakers to RCA adapter and you want to go. This product works well in my area. HD Radio stations are not very widespread yet, but what I received (about 15 more stations, Orange County, CA) looks very good. I can not receive AM radio programs, the LA Dodgers game, or if I want commercial free “Elevator Blocked” music, pop, rock or classical, this receiver offers a nice departure from the same old stuff can be found in FM radio . Sony has a nice job blocking in HD channels and you can set your favorite programs on a regular basis, or HD stations. This is an amazing analog FM tuner. A few stations heard in stereo, although there is no signal message on the screen.
